Backpack Around Europe

The Tuna Backpackers

HOW TO MAKE A SAFE AND BUDGET TRIP

  • Use the Inter-rail for the whole journey which is valid on all type of trains (except High-Speed train) throughout the Europe up to 1 month.
  • Sleep in the train and pay an extra charge for the couchette. It will save you a lot rather than stay in the hostel.
  • Bring a lot of Tuna. It’s really helpful when you can't find any Halal shop.
  • Bring some travelers cheque and some cash in case the money changer is close and don’t change your money at train station. (The rate in very cheap)
  • Just spend one day in one place (or one country). Then take a night train to another place. You can tour around the places in just one day.
  • Don’t trust peoples that are so kind to you. Always ask the right person (Information Counter, Policemen, Guard)
  • Beware of the pick pocket and always look after your stuff (put your bag in the locker).
  • Just bring 4 shirts, 2 pants and a lot of sock. Never forget to bring Sleeping Bag.
  • Just buy cheap souvenir like magnet. Take a lot of photos. That’s the most valuable souvenir.
  • NEVER PLAN YOUR TRIP. JUST GO WITH THE FLOW

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

  • Look for the toilet. Clean up yourself.
  • Go to International Ticket counter and make a reservation for the next night train.
  • Put you bags in the luggage locker.
  • Look for the Tourist Information. Every train station has a Tourist Information.
  • Ask for the city map and tourist guide book.
  • Go to the bookshop and look for the postcard.
  • Mark down interesting places from the postcards into your map.
  • Just walk. Don’t use a Metro or Tramp. I will save you a lot.
